Journey Outdoors

Learn camping, wilderness and survival skills every step of the way by an experienced and wilderness first aid trained guide.

Excellent for youth groups, YMCAs, and teams of all sorts.

Offerings:
- 4 hour camp craft class.
- 1-3 day trips.

Ask about having it customized for team building, leader training or survival skills.

Requirements:
1. One adult (acting as a leader) per 4 children. Groups no larger than 10. If a mixed group, at least one adult of each gender.
2. All members will be required to operate with teamwork, to support each other and absolutely NO cut-downs will be tolerated.
3. For overnights, everyone will need a standard school backpack and sleeping bag. Other necessary gear will be provided.
4. Each group has their own insurance through church or organization.
5. On trips that overlap a Sunday, the group will participate in a biblically-based devotional on encouragement and hope.

*Digging a cat-hole
*Hanging a bear bag
*Stars and constellations
*Predicting weather based on clouds
*Making a quick release survival bracelet (with compass, emergency whistle and fire starter) - very cool.
