Journey to New Life, Inc.

Journey to New Life Inc is a non profit social service organization located in Kansas City MO. It is organized to serve men and women returning to the community from prison or other involvement with the local, state or federal justice system. The goal is to assist these men and women to become successful and productive citizens and thereby make the community a safer place to live and work.

Programs and Services

Program participants include individuals with mental illness, chronic medical conditions, histories of addiction and/or former involvement with the criminal justice system. Having two or more of these conditions makes individuals even more prone to homelessness and re-incarceration. Services provided include: Provision of basic needs (e.g. food, clothing, shelter, transportation); A welcoming community through mentors to provide one on one emotional support and encouragement. Case management and connection to mainstream supportive services to guide individuals toward stable housing and management of their risk factors. Connection to community.
