We offer classes for rewarding healthcare careers. Part of our mission here at JPD Research is our commitment to providing individuals with the educational and hands on training needed to become a Phlebotomist Technician, Pharmacy Technician, EKG/ECG Telemetry Technician or a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist in some of the leading healthcare facilities.
Courses include:
PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN:
The practice of Phlebotomy is the central core of the laboratory. Patient care begins with the Phlebotomist by ensuring good quality specimens are collected for proper diagnosis and treatment. The length of this course is 6-8 weeks, 2 times a week and includes a clinical internship upon completion of the class and lab. A National Certification Test will be offered after all class requirements are met. National Accrediting Agency , National Phlebotomy Association (NPA), Landover Maryland. www.phlebotomy.org
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN:
Pharmacy Technicians aid and help the pharmacist with filling, dispensing, calculation if drugs and dosages etc. The length of this course is 10-12 weeks 2 times a week. This course includes a clinical internship upon completion of the class and lab. A state Certification test will be offered after all class requirements are met. EKG/ECG TELEMETRY TECHNICIAN:
EKG/ECG Telemetry Technicians are taught to administer EKG/ ECG Test as well as read the EKG/ ECG result also known as telemetry. The length of this course is 5 week this course meets 1 time per week. This course includes a clinical internship upon completion of the class and lab the internship is optional not required. A certification form JPD Research will be offered. Certification Agency, JPD Research-Training Center.
MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING:
Medical Billing and Coding helps you to learn different aspect of billing for Doctors and facilities while also coding to the right body system or disease process (ICD9 and CPT codes with medical terminology. The length of this course is 10 weeks, 2 days a week. A certification from JPD Research will be offered. Certification Agency, JPD Research-Training Center.
MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT:
A combination of all classes such as Medical Billing and Coding, EKG/ ECG Telemetry, Phlebotomy and some Pharmacy Tech information in order to ensure that you will be able to work in all aspects of the doctors’ office appropriately and effectively . The length of this course is 16-24 weeks, the certification will come from JPD Research, other Certification agency TBA (to be arranged) under selection process.
