JQ Photography is a Veteran/Disabled owned photography company that was established in 2013.

It all started back in 2000 when I retired from the United States Marine Corps and I picked up a camera and started to photography my two daughters in their various school activities, to Drum and Bugle Corps, and through their college years, to this date.

Hello I am Jeff Quesnell and have retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20+ years of service, in which I held various positions as a Senior Staff NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer).

I have always had a passion for photography, I believe It is more than a photograph. It is the art of freezing a moment in time, capturing its pure essence that may otherwise never exist again and sharing it with the world.

My real passion in photography is wildlife and scenery, I can and do at times weddings, senior portrait’s and photography in that area, however I prefer the pure essence of capturing a wolf, an eagle, etc. or a beautiful sunset or sunrise.

I have considered it an honor to serve my country, now I consider it an honor to be your photographer.

I understand going the extra mile for every project or endeavor. I understand the importance of detail, these are qualities and traits I bring to every photography session I do so that you have the beauty of nature and wildlife in your home.

I live and work in beautiful Galena, Illinois. I have had the opportunities to travel the world several times over as well as throughout the entire United States.

Travel as well as photography is a passion. I continue to enjoy traveling the Midwest region of Iowa, Chicago, Minneapolis, Wisconsin and now out west from the Badlands of South Dakota to the Black Hills, from the grass lands of North Dakota to the Ozarks. I travel 9 states capturing the most beautiful pictures that nature and wildlife have to offer.
