Juarez Mexican Restaurant

Juarez is a family owned restaurant that opened in 2005 on Broadway in Newburgh. The owners are Irma and Manuel Juarez, who finally had their dream of opening their own restaurant come true. Juarez restaurant is a true family run business. You will often find the couple’s 3 children helping out in the restaurant, either answering phones or waiting on tables.

Both Manuel and his wife are originally from Mexico. She comes from Michoacan, and he from Puebla. Manuel grew up in the restaurant business from the time he was 9 years old in Mexico. When he came to this country he worked for the famous Newburgh based tortilla company La Escondida, as well as an Italian restaurant. After working and saving for 16 years, his dream of owning a restaurant come to fruition in 2005. Ironically, the location he chose to open his restaurant was the old La Escondida tortilla factory.

Manuel and Irma bring many of their family recipes and secrets learned while working in restaurants in Mexico to Newburgh, where we can enjoy their authentic cuisine.
