Founded in 1934, the Junior League of Shelby is dedicated to the belief that volunteer service is an essential part of responsible citizenship.
The members of the Junior Charity League of Shelby give over 5,000 hours of volunteer service to Cleveland County annually.
The primary purpose of the Junior League of Shelby shall be to raise monies to provide for needy persons for such necessaries as: clothing, fuel, food, medications, or any other needs that arise. The League also shall carry out other charitable services for the benefit of the citizens of Cleveland County and foster their educational interests.
