Ka Mauna o 'Oliveta Church

Ka Mauna O'oliveta (Church of the True God)
"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God." John 1: Verse 1. In Hawaiian: "Ikinohi ka Logou, me ke Akua ka Logou, a o ke Akua no ka Logou"

Our church was started after WWII in private homes through cottage meetings. It was at one of these meetings that Mrs. Ellen Roberts Tom Ling and Mr. Louis K.Y. Goo spoke about building our church. Others joined and through prayers and fasting, God blessed them with both the spiritual and bodily help to build this church in 1947. The land was chosen by the prophet named "Kamakani, who was also known as the Man". The church is on God's land and whatever belongs to God is God's land and no ownership of any one person.

The lumber for the church came from an army mess hall and was brought to Waikane Valley via the sugar cane fields of the North Shore.

This army mess hall is now our beloved and cherished Ka Mauna O'oliveta-Church of the True God.
