More about Kahuku Village

Continental Pacific, LLC (“CP”) has a history of working with local communities in the State of Hawai’i. On both the Big Island of Hawai’i and the Northshore of O’ahu, CP has offered many opportunities to local families. In addition, CP continues to give back to local communities by actively sponsoring groups like the Hawaii Youth Rugby and various beach clean ups.

On the Big Island in the early 2000’s, CP showed its commitment to the Pepe’ekeo community in various ways. During this period, CP developed agricultural and residential properties north of Hilo in the Pepe’ekeo community. Through the creation of the Pepe’ekeo Point Subdivision, it made a donation of $15,000 to the Kulaimano Community Association per oceanfront lot sale. This donation continues today as other oceanfront lots sell. To date, $120,000 has been donated; however, when all of the oceanfront lots are sold, the amount will total $330,000.

CP also provided much needed lateral access to the ocean to the public and preserved multiple local fishing spots for local fishermen. In addition, CP donated the 4.5 acre Hakalau Beach to the County of Hawai’i, creating a public beach park. All of this was done to ensure the enjoyment of future generations within this community.

On O’ahu in 2008, CP worked with the Kahuku Medical Center (“KMC”) to keep the hospital Emergency Room operational during turbulent times for the hospital. In 2014, CP again worked with the KMC, but this time to take control of KMC’s own destiny by negotiating a partial purchase/partial donation of the hospital property.

In 2011, CP again showed its commitment to the immediate local community by offering long-time renters – descendants of the sugar plantation employees – the right to purchase their home and the land around their home, or vacant land if they lived in a floodway area, for a price of $150,000 per property. Those who elected to purchase gained instant equity of hundreds of thousands of dollars and secured for themselves, and their family, a home.
