Kalakshetra The Temple of Arts Inc. more commonly known as Kalakshetra (Kala means Art- ksethra means holy place) was started in 2008; inspired by the philosophies and theories of Kerala Kalamandalam. The institutions main goal was to impart education in the field of art, music and dance in its true essence. It provides a holistic education amidst a traditional Indian style school environment cultivating a spirit of reverence and a flair to perform. The faculty comprises of many experts who have studied under the guidance of world-renowned guru’s from India. Our focus and structured curriculum has been recognized by the Sangeetha Nataka academy and in 2009 we were blessed with a formal affiliation to Kerala Sangeetha Nataka academy. Kalakshetra’s event management committee was formed in 2010 to facilitate the talents and the students of the academy. This committee is purely focused on nurturing talents to perform at bigger stages. Amidst all these, the institution has made special efforts to recognize local talents by sponsoring trophies and cash prizes for talent contest organized by various associations, felicitating / honoring world-renowned talents and providing funds for health insurance for underprivileged artist of India.
