Kalmia Gardens of Coker College, situated on 35 acres, is a non-profit public garden open year-round from dawn to dusk. Named after Mountain-laurel Kalmia latifolia, the garden has seven of eleven plant communities found in South Carolina and is home to various threatened and unique species. We are the gateway to the Segars-McKinnon Heritage Preserve; both properties together are almost as large as Central Park in New York City.
