More about Kansas City Aquaponics

Kansas City Aquaponics helps people understand how to be self sustaining and grow year around using a "DIY" approach to aquaponics.

We offer complete installation , setup, maintenance, and repair for large or small aquaponic systems. We will teach you how to maintain your system so that you will be successful growing both fish and plants. We approach every situation and every system uniquely. No two systems are completely the same.

Some systems can be built with items found in your garage or bought at a garage sale. Some items can be acquired on craigslist or from a neighbor. Our goal is to help you put it all together and understand how "your" system works.

After we set your system up we will test it every week for 2 weeks, then bi-weekly for 2 more months, eventually turning the system over to you. We completely assist you until you are confident in running your system.

Kansas City Aquaponics helps people understand how to be self sustaining and grow year around using a "DIY" approach to aquaponics. We operate out of East High School and grow in 2 of the greenhouses on the property. In a partnership with East High School's Agriculture program, as well as the biology department, and other supportive KC governing bodies, we work to grow food at East High School, helping the students understand urban agrarian practices, with a hands on approach in a kinesthetic outdoor class.

We offer several workshops and are working on providing a selection of sustainable workshops for everyone to learn.

We can be found selling at different markets around Kansas City.

We offer a selection of starter plants, mini zucchini, kale, arugula, white radish, spinach, collard greens, heirloom tomatoes, heirloom soybeans, peanuts, gerkhins, moringa trees, cut flowers (zinnias, snap dragons, daisies) sugar babies, snap peas, red long beans, green beans, carrots, cucumbers, okra, beets, radish, bamboo plants, rare seeds, eggs and a wide list of unique holistic herbs.

We hope that we can help you, help yourself.
