Karhan Ranch is a family-owned business dedicated to raising champion cutting horses, and top-quality all ‘round ranch horses. Located in the heart of Texas High Country, Karhan Ranch is home to Fantastic Cat, aka "Shrek" an own son of High Brow Cat out of the fantastic mare Marmosets Playgirl. As a cutting stallion, Shrek has accrued NCHA earnings over $100,000. His foal crops are gorgeous, athletic horses with sound conformation and promising potential. Shrek is standing at Shadow Oak Ranch; shipped semen is available.

At Karhan Ranch, we boast an ample 600+ acres of grass pasture and horse trails. The two working arenas located on the ranch are where our cutting horses participate in high intensity cutting training. They become exposed to challenging obstacles, steep hills, and the two creeks that run through the property during supplementary trail riding. At Karhan Ranch, we believe these extra-curricular escapades through the rough and thicket improves a horse’s maturity, dexterity, disposition, and muscle development. Essentially, it allows a horse to just be a horse –air out his brain for a bit, and approach training with revived focus and dedication. At night, the horses are housed in three first-class stables. They rest and recover from the day in secure stalls where they receive the highest quality nutrition. Karhan Ranch also works closely with Austin Equine Hospital, located just down the road in Driftwood, to ensure the horses in our care receive the most comprehensive and advanced sports medicine available.
