Karing Hearts Cardiology is home to Dr. Julius Gasso, Dr. Erasme Coly and Dr. Daniel O'Roarke, Nurse Practioners Julie Bentley, Saralyn Veech and April Erwin, and a team of "Karing hearts"! Located in 2 offices, KHC 1 and 2, both at 701 N. State of Franklin, we are grateful for our wonderful patients. Our practice was started by Dr. Schoondyke, a leading adult cardiologist in the Johnson City region, who has gained new perspective on how patients should be treated after being on the "other side of the coin" with his infant daughter, Kari. Kari passed away at the age of 7 months of a congenital heart defect. Since experiencing life inside of a hospital as part of the patient's family, the Schoondykes created the non-profit foundation, Kari's Heart Foundation, that raises money for families of hospitalized children. Dr. Schoondyke wants to honor his daughter's memory with how he treats his patients.
