Dr. Platt and her staff also devote a certain percentage of the practice to pilot exams. Dr. Platt serves as an official aviation medical examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), providing exams for airmen and air traffic controllers. She can also coordinate special issuance medical certificates and substance abuse treatment for pilots.
