Our favorites have been original works of art, historic or family memorabilia, portraits, and restored photographs. Over the years you have brought in so many different things to have framed that Robert can handle any job that comes through the door!Our gift shop features McCall’s candles, Harley Davidson merchandise, inspirational items, Willow Tree figurines, and of course a great collection of photo frames. People come from Bakersfield regularly for the McCall’s scented candles and melts. Our greeting card collection is the best in town.
New services include in-house restoration of old photos and documents, printing services from wallet size to 40x60size. Many substrates are available including canvas, fine art papers, photo gloss and luster, and even wall mural self-sticking paper. We have a wealth of history with our collection of photos and negatives from the early 1920s –1960s of Taft and the West Side Oil Industry. Everything from the wood derricks treeing the landscape to early store front window displays.
Karen and Robert Mitchell, both Certified Picture Framers with award winning designs, have enhanced the pre 1920’s building by restoring the original tin ceiling, the front upper windows, and by keeping the flavor of the business nostalgic.
