ABOUT US:

KC Storm Trackers are Storm Trackers typically covering SE Nebraska, SW Iowa, E Kansas and W Missouri along with the rest of the country. For the Kansas City market we chase for 41 Action News KSHB-TV. We will soon be live streaming thru our Media Broker, Live Storms Media. We provide live accurate weather reports in the field to our local media and have a proud partnership with Live Storms Media (LSM) for Media Brokering Services. We are proud to serve our community and other communities across Tornado Alley when severe weather strikes. We hope you continue to follow us as we chase nature's most extreme weather!

MEET THE TEAM:

CARL HOBI
Carl Hobi is a co-owner of Kansas City Storm Trackers. He is the lead driver for the team and also helps with navigation. Carl works for a contract food service company and he has a BA for Food Service Management. Carl is a board member for the Kansas City Ferret Hotline Association, which is a rescue group. He is also a Certified Storm Spotter and he completed the Skywarn Spotter Training class from the NWS KC. Carl is huge Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins Fan and WWE. He also enjoys fishing and playing poker and Paranormal Investigating. Carl was on a Local Ghost Hunting TV Show in Jacksonville, FL. Carl likes to be close to the storm and be able to relay information to the NWS KC, to help protect Human and Animal lives.

STEVE MURDOCK
Steve Murdock is a co-owner of KC Storm Trackers. A fan of anything to do with weather, chases all sorts of weather when time is pending. Certified in skywarn (Memphis) and spotternetwork. He usually chases by himself and mainly covers the 4 states of Nebraska , Kansas, Missouri and Iowa, Streaming on TVNweather when he is out. Main priority of alerting the NWS of ground truth and for the public to have ample time to get to safety. Steve drives a Truck and Pup (rock truck) out of Lincoln Nebraska, Races ASCS 360 sprint cars along with chasing storms. Steve is married and has 3 girls and 1 boy. A die hard Nebraska fan and kc chief fan..

A Dixie Alley storm chaser and photographer who enjoys traveling across the country. Originally from Maryland moved to Florida in 07 and has become a lightning photographer in the state. His best year was 2011 during the super outbreak covering over 2,000 Miles total in 3 days in April. Is a hardcore Washington Redskins fan and St Louis Cards fan and enjoys watching WWE and online gaming when chase season is on the down sloap. Very good on radar and doing multiple things during a chase whether it being running radar or running the cameras both video and still photography.
