KC's BBQ

On Thursday February 16, 2017--just shy of our 50th year anniversary--a fire broke out at our family owned restaurant, KC's Bar-B-Que, in Berkeley, California. We are grateful that no one was physically hurt but we were devastated as four generations witnessed our local business go up in flames. Berkeley Fire determined that there was over $500k of damage and many of our family heirlooms were destroyed and severley damaged. Although KC's Bar-B-Que will be inoperable until further notice, we plan to move forward the best way we know how as a family unit.

Our restaurant has always operated as more than just a place to eat. We have created a family that extends from Berkeley to the entire country. We ask the community & our city to continue to be supportive in our quest to find a new location. We appreciate all of your support in what ever form it comes.

It is with our greatest gratitude that we thank you for ALL of your heartfelt donations and acts of kindness. As a family we would also like to acknowledge and offer our deepest gratitude to the Berkeley Fire Department for crawling through clouds of smoke to recover original family photos and what they could of the restaurant.

We plan to move forward with popup restaurants in the near future and will keep you all posted on what is to come!
