KD Media Works

Thanks for checking out my page! KD Media Works has been growing for a while in my head....and I wanted to give it a shot ;-) I have a background in writing. My first piece was published in the school newspaper when I was 9 ;-) I have a degree in Mass Communications with a Minor in English. My goal is to pursue my MBA and start, develop and grow my own company.

As the Director for Marketing Operations for one of the largest insurance agencies in Hampton Roads, I manage all the content writing, print publications, social media, video filming/edits, business speaking/training sessions (and TONS more!) for the agency. I am a frequent contributing author for several local publications and...starting in March 2017 (!!), my first National publication. While managing the social media for this organization, I was able to grow our social media from about 400 "likes" with (little to no followers, page interaction or ROI)....to over 3,400 people that have "liked" our business page with interactions on our social media hitting 1,000-1,400 views on a single video I've created and published within a few days. Our SEO has steadily climbed, our website is more effective at generating leads for ROI, and I am a frequent speaker for local organizations on meeting their unique insurance needs and stimulating business growth.

I LOVE small businesses! I LOVE to see companies grow. Having the right words, the right images, knowing how to reach the right groups of people are vital in boosting and growing your company.
