Kenai Peninsula Mycology Society for the study of mushrooms and lichen

This is a group of ( Fun-guys ( fungi) and fun-gals ( fungal) mushroom hunters and gathers and preservers and studiofiles who are interested in fungi on the Kenai peninsula. We meet about once every other month in the winter and once a month in the summer. We are planning hikes throughout the summer to harvest mushrooms. These hikes will be driven by when and where the mushrooms arrive and are going to be fairly short notice hikes. If you would like to be a part of the hikes please email us to be put on our email list. We are planning a coop where we can sell some of the mushrooms locally that we harvest.
