Kendal and Holly's Egg Shack

Our layers include Plymouth Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, Dominique, Golden laced Wyandotte, Black Australorp, Buff Orpington, Red Stars, and mixed breeds. They are free range (only cooped up at night) and are fed a balanced diet of pelleted layer feed plus "treats" like seeds, lettuce, carrots, grapes (and whatever other scraps we have - but no onions or potato peels).

With a little help, the Kendal and Holly are in charge of taking care of the chickens (Mom and Dad supervise and sometimes help feed and scoop poop). Kendal is the primary one in charge of keeping the 2 roosters away from people...

Both kids REALLY enjoy collecting the eggs. At this time, the 11 hens we have lay 6-11 brown eggs a day for us.

Kendal and Holly's eggs are $3 a dozen without a carton, $3.50 with a carton.
