Kendall County EMS (KCEMS) is a Municipal Third-Service EMS Department that provides emergency pre-hospital medical services to the citizens and visitors of Kendall County, encompassing 663 square miles. Our primary duty is to insure the survival, comfort, safety, confidence, and well-being of the community we serve.

KCEMS is currently staffed by 16 full-time Paramedics, under the clinical direction of Dr. Kendall Styskal M.D. and with the operational oversite of EMS Administrator/Paramedic Jeff Fincke, who is also a founding member of the Department. Additionally, day-to-day business is managed by EMS Administrator Assistant Elizabeth "Lissy" SanMiguel with select part-time staff assisting with Field Operations and Standby Events. The Department operates 5 fully equipped BLS w/MICU capable Type-I ambulances, which are equipped with the industry’s leading equipment.

Kendall County EMS has first responder agreements with all seven of the fire departments throughout the county. This provides faster care to the sick or injured in the remote locations in the county.

In 2016, KCEMS responded to 2300+ calls for service.
