Kent's Lawn Care

Origins of Kents Lawn Care come from Florida, where at an early age of 18, Kent Phillips was working at Hampton golf and recreational club. Soon he was promoted to golf course superintendent. There he learned large irrigation, chemical pesticide application and all forms of turf care.
After he felt he could go as high as he could with that company, he sought after a more difficult challenge. He moved onto LeValley Landscaping in Rochester MI, where he became a landscaping consultant. He drew, designed, and sold landscaping to thousands of commercial and residential clients in the greater Detroit area.
In 1993, he started up Kents Lawn Care. While balancing his new career he had a couple jobs such as; ordinance officer for Addison Twp. and weed harvest manager for Lakeville Lake. After a while, he focused mainly on Kents Lawn Care. Over the last 20 years we’ve been commercial pesticide applicators, landscaping, irrigation instillation and service, and a consultant on all landscaping, lawn maintenance, and irrigation. Short of having a degree in agronomy, there’s not much Kent doesn’t know about your lawn and irrigation, be it commercial or residential.

A good friend of mine, Bill Fox of Bill Fox Cheverly, once said, “When the area code had changed from 180 to 248, I couldn’t contact my friend. When I finally did locate him, I told him I had had some partners over the years, but I always thought him and I would be until death do us part.” And that’s still the case.

Partners have come and gone, but one thing remains and that is Kent Phillips.
