Khao Poon! Rice vermicelli noodle dishes are found all across Southeast Asia. We bring you our version with flavorful spices, fresh ingredients and locally sourced meat & seafood. The future Khao Poon noodle house will offer a sophisticated menu combining the chef’s new generational attitude & training with the traditional spirit of Southeast Asia. You’ll find zesty starters, spicy soup, creative entrees, adventurous cocktails and modern spins on classic desserts. Khao Poon is also where you’ll find memories from the owners’ and chefs’ childhoods in the form of old-style recipes passed down from one Lao generation to the next & through living and eating across Southeast Asia. We are starting with the pop-up at Union Market to introduce the concept to DC before launching our brick & mortar restaurant in early 2016.
