Kids `R` Kids is a locally owned and operated franchise. Eric and Kara Kallevig started investigating the Kids R Kids Learning Academies franchise opportunity in 2001 where they were first impressed with the company`s mission statement of "Hugged First, Then Taught." The relationship building foundation of Kids R Kids dovetailed with the Kallevig`s personal philosophy of positive family-oriented involvement with their three school-age children. "Our decision to open a highly accredited childcare school in Overland Park was based on the franchise`s excellent program, curriculum and core values."

The Kallevigs opened the 15,000 square-feet state-of-the-art Kids R Kids facility in September of 2008 to parental acclaim. The school offers a secure, nurturing and educational environment for infants to 12-year old children with an emphasis on developmentally appropriate curriculum that challenges each age group to reach its full potential as it moves forward. The 11 classrooms have tempered glass walls to ensure maximum visibility and safety, in addition to promoting an open, bright and clean atmosphere. Parents can also enjoy peace of mind while away from their children by watching secure live streaming internet from anywhere they are. Parents may also choose to include relatives near and far to take part in this so that precious moments can be shared by all.

The all-inclusive tuition at Kids R Kids features the Kids Cafe-an actual lunchroom where the children eat healthy and nutritious snacks and homemade meals. It also includes the enrichment programs that are offered (Sign Language, Foreign Language, Computer, Music and Motion, Stretch and Grow). "No child should be left out of these activities due to an additional fee." The Kallevigs emphasize this is another way to consider a child`s entire well-being.

Kara and Eric believe that happy, loved and connected children are destined for success in every facet of their lives. "We work hard at Kids R Kids to first build a solid base of trust with both the parents and the children."
