Kids Sewing Studio

Kids Sewing Studio is a partnership of 3 successful small business women (Bobbi Bullard, Jen Dulyanai, Roberta Kitowski) with diverse talents who teamed up to provide unique sewing instruction for children. The genesis came from repeatedly hearing from parents/grandparents of Roberta’s students that they wished out of area family members could also have positive, fun sewing lessons. We discussed the business concept and enthusiastically agreed that we wanted to teach 1000’s of kids not just local kids. Within 30 days, our business plan was outlined, legal forms drafted, and creative ideas flying. Our alliance has yielded colorful kid-friendly media, clear instructions, easy to follow patterns, and our real-life students get to appear in the videos to demo the sewing steps. Our initial set of 5 classes on DVD are perfect for true beginners, with two more advanced levels coming soon. Our idea is to grow with the child’s ability, introducing more and more challenging skills while emphasizing the fun and creativity that is the joy of sewing.
