Kim Buck

MY STORY

I started my career out at the Midwest Center for Structural Genomics (MCSG) in the high throughput protein cloning group at Argonne National Labs in Illinois. I continued on in research for some time and eventually ended up in the San Francisco Bay Area.

R&D Partners brought me on board allowing me to combine my passion for science and for people. Every day I get to learn about the latest and greatest in biotech, pharma and device while working with the individuals and companies making those innovations and discoveries happen.

When I’m not engrossing myself in science, I’m either playing or coaching water polo, a sport I am just as passionate about as biotech. Epitome of Jock Nerd confusion

I majored in Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology at Arizona State University, studying under Dr. Cheryl Nickerson at the Biodesign Institute. When I wasn’t in the lab I was training hard in the pool playing for ASU’s Division 1 Water Polo Team. Go Devils!

• I grew up with Harry Potter, we were the same age at least for the first few books and I love all the books and movies.
• The last thing I ever thought growing up was I’d be a recruiter, but I love it!
