Opened in 1933, the historic Kimball Theatre presents an eclectic mix of independent films and live performance entertainment. The theatre offers a unique menu of gourmet concessions including local craft beer, wine, and champagne, all of which can be enjoyed right at your seat. In addition to the main auditorium, films are also shown in the 35 seat “micro-cinema” screening room.
Originally called The Williamsburg Theatre, the Kimball has been owned and operated by The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for nearly 85 years. It was built by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. as an official Radio-Keith-Orpheum (RKO) theatre, along with Radio City Music Hall and The Roxy Theatre in New York City.
