Kindred Hospital South Florida - Coral Gables is a 53-bed transitional care hospital. We are accredited by The Joint Commission, certified by Medicare and licensed by the State of Florida. Our hospital provides long-term acute care for medically complex patients requiring extended recovery time 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our primary market area is Miami Dade County, although patients are referred from outside this area.

We work closely with referring hospitals and facilities to assure patients referred to our care are accommodated efficiently and effectively. Our medically complex patients are typically referred to us from intensive care units, medical-surgical or telemetry units of conventional short-term acute care hospitals, nursing homes and physicians’ offices. Our patients are unable to recover completely in the short-term setting and come to us for continued care
