In the Philosophy and Religion Department (B & R) at King University, you will find professors who are known for their commitment to high standards of teaching, excellent scholarship, and practical mission and ministry. The faculty take the Christian Gospel and personal discipleship as seriously as they do academic study.

You will find exciting courses that include Interpretation of the Hebrew Bible, Interpretation of the New Testament, Introduction to Theology, Philosophy, Encountering World Religions, New Testament Greek, Paul, Religion and Politics in a Global Context, Bio-Medical Moral Dilemmas, American Religious History, Rendering the Sacred in Film, History and Archaeology of Israel, and many more.

You will have the opportunity to take part in both study and mission work abroad. A hallmark of the department has been the Egypt-Israel study trip. You could also choose the Italy Studies program that provides religious, artistic, and cultural studies in one of the earliest centers of Christianity. The Philosophy and Religion Department is also involved with the Tel Azekah Consortium with Tel Aviv University. The department guides students every summer on a dig in Israel.

Please see description for the philosophy program in the Notes section of our page.
