The Corum Family, Art & Joe Corum, Purchased KKOZ-AM 1430 in December of 1983 & it has been a family oriented radio station ever since. KKOZ’s sister station KKOZ-FM 92.1 began broadcasting in 1989, both stations provide Local news, weather & sports. Joe & Art have always placed an emphasis on programming that fits the Hometown Radio Image. Local News & Local Sports with live broadcasts of Ava football, basketball & baseball with occasional coverage of key games of other area teams. Our news includes the usual stuff, happenings in city-county government & law enforcement, but goes beyond that. Local clubs and & organizations make the news too with their projects and accomplishments. Events in our schools help provide a well-rounded approach to news on KKOZ.
