Rhode Island Licensed Mental Health Counselor, nationally certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors, member of the American Counseling Association.
I obtained my Master of Arts in Psychology from Rhode Island College and have been licensed by the State of RI since 2003. I have over twenty years experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I specialize in couples work, family, grief and loss, trauma, adoption, anger management, parenting, and mood disorders.
I have worked in the human service field since 1994. For seventeen years I worked for an agency serving children, youth and families within the Rhode Island Child Welfare System. During my professional journey, I have had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful, amazing, and resilient people.
I have been in private practice since 2009. I am passionate in helping people with their personal struggles. My focus is relationship based, providing each person with respect in a non-judgmental environment. I utilize various techniques in my sessions based on the person(s) I am serving and their needs. My techniques are based on scientific evidence.
