KMH Foundation

The KMH Foundation was founded to help people fight cancer> We are named in honor of Kappy Mills Hamilton.

Kappy Mills Hamilton was born in 1948 in Birmingham, AL and graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. While attending auburn she met and married the love of her life, Bill Hamilton and a few years later they had a little girl Kappi and boy Bo who were the apple of her eye.

Kappy met her savior Jesus Christ while in college. She dedicated her life to serving Him and loving others. She possessed a deep warmth and radiance that attracted all to her and anyone who spent time with her left feeling loved and accepted. The way she poured her talents, love and time into other people was evidence of her love of Jesus.

Kappy was extremely creative and used that gift to make a beautiful home and share her gift of hospitality. Her love of gardening and nature coupled with creativity made her a gifted floral designer!

In spring of 2008 she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor and she went to be with her Maker three short months later. She is now and will always be remembered as one of God’s true gifts to us and as she spends an eternity with Jesus.
