KNH Horse Works LLC

I started KNH Horse Works in 2014 mostly with an idea (and no time to work with it) and the objective of having a family business our kids can participate in as they grow up. Add on a pregnancy and no roundpen or arena on the property and that helps explain my slow progress. Now in 2015 I am ready to further that vision of a family business!! We have the roundpen ready for use, the arena is closer to completion, and we purchased 2 business project horses. I am beginning training on the 2 mares with the goal of selling 1, and using 1 as a lesson pony when the timing is right. To pass the down time due to weather (and myself expecting a baby this spring), I started doing some horse related craft items to sell at reasonable prices. I am currently offering polo wraps and am in the process of expanding to coolers, quarter sheets, saddle pad covers, saddle tutus (yes we have a couple girly girls in our house) and hope to become gifted enough in paracord weaving that I can add those items. Our girls love dressing up their horses. I do involve the kids in all aspects of these trades even though they are starting out young and aren't very helpful yet (they can still pick out pretty fabric at their young age and give me their opinions)!!! Hopefully as they grow they can have good memories of those times we stayed inside on a cold winter's day and they almost sewed my fingers by pushing the sewing machine pedal ;) Or the warm days outside enjoying fresh air and the company of horses and their parents rather than sitting in front of a TV screen.
