Koats 4 Kids - Waterloo

Koats 4 Kids provides coats, hat, gloves, scarves, boots and snow pants to low income children attending 29 schools in Black Hawk County. The project was started in 2012 and since then 2,995 coats and 1,522 pairs of boots and 565 snow pants have been shared with children in Cedar Falls, Dunkerton, Evansdale, Elk Run Heights, Hudson, La Porte City, and Waterloo.

Our goal is to provide a new warm coat to our disadvantaged children so they can stay warm while they wait for their school bus, walk to school and play in the snow at recess.

We have over 7,700 students in the 29 schools we share coats with that are living in low income families. Annually, we are only able to help around 10% of them. The need is great and it unfortunately does not go away so your generous donations are GREATLY appreciated.
