Welcome to the land of adornment.....just a short description of myself.....I am a native American from the Yurok tribe. We are from the place where the Klamath river and the Pacific ocean meets, this place is called Requa, located in California. My grandmother , Lena Blake moved to Crescent City, CA., just 15 miles away from the homeland, and gave birth to two daughters, Beverly Johnston and Anna Leest. My mother was Beverly. I never moved and have lived in the Redwood country all my life. I have been creating objects of Adornment all my life and consider myself to be a contemporary artist. Nature is my inspiration and my mothers LOVE has sustained me. My husband has provided me with continuous support to always explore every creative realm. Gratitude is my spirituality.
