This farm has been in our family for over 100 years. The homestead sits on 8.5 acres with a farmhouse, barns, a pond, woods, & trails. Nicholas & Lucy Koelsch our grandparents raised 15 children at the homestead. Our grandfather was an ice man and they cut ice from the pond and stored it in the icehouse and sold ice to the towns people. He also made clay field tile on the farm and also did butchering. Charles and Lorene our parents took over the farm and had 7 children. In 2014 5 of the siblings took over the farm and restored the farmhouse as a rentable cottage. The workshop which is a cozy barn with a potbelly stove can be rented for small events such as birthdays & showers for up to 45 people. We also hold a Peony Fest and a Fall Fest and weddings on the property. We love sharing this lovely homestead with the community for people to experience farm life!
