Nestled in a quiet mountain valley in the Sierra Foothills, about 8 miles from Yosemite National Park as the crow flies, is the place we call Kowana Valley.
“Kowana” is the Miwok Indian word for music. When we came upon this lovely mountain valley and became the new stewards of the land, we decided to name it in honor of those that stewarded the land for so many years before.
With its clear mountain streams, forested lands and wide open spaces, it is a place that inspires creativity, relaxation, adventure and freedom.
With ongoing and specially scheduled workshops, flexible accommodations, and a variety of activities both on site and nearby, there is something for everyone.
Whether for a short or long stay, it will be a memory you take with you.
