Kuk Sool Won is a systematic study of all the traditional fighting arts. As a comprehensive martial arts system, Kuk Sool Won is extremely well organized and seeks to integrate and explore the entire spectrum of established Asian martial arts and body conditioning techniques, as well as mental development and traditional weapons training. Training will help enhance the mind and body of men, women, and children of all ages.
Chief Instructor, Dong Nguyen, is a 4th Degree Black Belt in the art of Kuk Sool Won and has been practicing for nearly 25 years under the instruction of 9th Degree Black Belt, Master Sung Jin Suh. SBN Dong has trained students of all ages throughout the Bay Area for the last decade. Along with his passion for martial arts, he has been educating youth for over 20 years. He has worked as a counselor and program director in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco to help inner-city youth and also toured with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Programs, performing health education shows across Northern California. Today, he performs college and life planning lectures at San Jose State University for Alpha Kappa Psi, a Business Fraternity where he served on the Chapter Advisory Board for 5 years. He currently holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and works as a Registered Professional Engineer with experience in business optimization, property management and land development.
Kuk Sool Won of Millbrae was specially designed and built by SBN Dong for advanced acrobatics, free running and cross-fitting activities, and features more than 1,750 square feet of practice area.
