It was eye opening for me to learn that the United States has not passed a major federal law to regulate the safety of ingredients used in our personal care products since 1938 and that the European Union has banned more than 1,400 chemicals in their personal care products, while the United States has only partially banned 11. My goal is to provide you with as much information as possible so that you can make an informed decision about the products you choose to use for you and your family, because I want everyone to have access to safer products and be aware of the harmful ingredients that are allowed to be in the products we use every day!

I first learned about Beautycounter in March of 2015 and was so impressed by their commitment to providing safer products to everyone and the quality of their products as well. My skin has honestly never been so clear! Beautycounter screens their raw ingredients before they make their products and again after the products have been produced to help eliminate the chance of harmful ingredients making their way into their products. This gives me a huge peace of mind that the products I'm using aren't a hazard to my health or my family's health.

Beautycounter has also created a "Never List" which is a list of ingredients that they will never allow to be in their products. This list includes the 1,400 chemicals banned (or restricted) from personal care products by the European Union, as well as additional chemicals screened by and found to be of concern, totaling more than 1,500 questionable or harmful chemicals they will never use as ingredients in their products.
