Founded in 1874,Laconia United Presbyterian serves the southern Indiana community of Laconia in Harrison County. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, the population of Laconia was 50. Each Sunday morning, 12-14 people assemble to worship and glorify God. This is a family church with most members related to one another in some way or other. Ages range from preschool to 102 years. Even though it is small in numbers, Laconia has a big in heart in it's outreach and mission. Along with support for National and Presbytery mission efforts it supports the Laconia Food Pantry, along with other churches in the area as well as Blessings In A Backpack through the local school. We also share worship responsibilities with other churches during Holy Week. Our worship style is welcoming and informal and kid friendly. Once a month, regular worship is suspended to have Children's Church with an inter generational emphasis. Worship is at 9 and all are welcome.
