Ladywood High School

Ladywood High School is a private, Roman Catholic, all-girls high school in Livonia, Michigan. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit.BackgroundLadywood was established in 1950 by the Felician Sisters. Ladywood provides several extracurricular activities, i.e. National Honors Society, varying clubs, and many sports teams.Established in 1950 Founded by the Felician Sisters, Livonia Ladywood High School is an all-girl, Catholic college-preparatory school devoted to educating and nurturing young ladies to become strong, confident, community-oriented women. Ladywood has an enrollment of approximately 300 students in grades 9-12, a student/teacher ratio of 10:1, and an average class size of 15-25 students. Ladywood enrolls young women from 33 communities and 6 counties within the Metro Detroit area and suburbs. Coming from a magnitude of different backgrounds the student body represents the cultural and socio-economic diversity of the society in which they are being raised. Ladywood is a leader in Catholic education. Graduates are very successful, with 100% attending post-secondary education, and offered $6.7 million in scholarships/grants. Students, in the Felician/Franciscan tradition, perform numerous and varied Christian and community service hours not for the credit but because it is the right thing to do.
