This page was created for the purpose of providing people who live and work in Lafourche Parish an opportunity to access information about the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office and have a platform in which they are able to interact with the agency. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to remove any comments and/or block any user who posts comments that defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten, or otherwise personally attack or violate the legal rights of others, include racism, hatred, slander, threats, obscenity, violence, and/or vulgarity, spam or advertisements, include copyrighted material that belongs to another person, or contain links to inappropriate websites. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office will also remove any comments which may hinder an investigation in any way including the spreading of rumors or heresay, or any comments which identify victims of crimes or relationships to anyone involved, including victims, suspects, or arrested individuals. Any comment that is found not to be germane to the original post may also be deleted. Any posts violating Facebook policies will also be removed, and the user will be reported to Facebook.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office welcomes a person’s right to express his/her opinion and encourages posters to keep comments related to the topic on which they are commenting. Any post that violates this policy will be recorded for record-keeping and subsequently removed. Further violations of this policy may result in a user being banned from posting to our page.
