Lake Jericho Recreational Area

Lake Jericho, located just 30 minutes from Downtown Louisville, captures the serenity of a peaceful day and the fun of a family outing. This 137 acre lake features fishing, camping, shelters with bathrooms, outdoor picnic areas with grills, and much, much more. This recreation area doesn’t have to be Henry County’s best-kept secret, but a fun and relaxing day waiting to happen for all to enjoy.

*Fishing and Boating*
Lake Jericho is known for its fishing. Fish species reported are largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. Boats are welcome. If you like to stay on the shore, there are areas for on-bank fishing as well. All fishermen must have a Kentucky State Fishing license and must follow state regulations. Rod and reel are the only fishing devices allowed at the lake. All size boats are welcome at Lake Jericho, but must stay at a NO WAKE SPEED. A launch fee is required. If you do not own a boat and would like to challenge the waters, then rental 14’ jon boats with oars is available. You may also use your own motor with the rental boats. Life preservers are available upon request. If little rest and relaxation is what you are looking for, Lake Jericho is just what you need.

*Camping*
Enjoy the outdoor life while camping at Lake Jericho Recreational Area. RV and tent camping are available nightly, weekly, or monthly. There are 70 RV sites with electric and water hookups. Also available, are sewer hookups and a dumping station. The camping season runs from April through October. Camping at Lake Jericho is on a first come basis, so come early to get the prime spot for pure outdoor pleasure.

*General Information*
The Little Kentucky River Watershed Conservancy District operates Lake Jericho. It has been opened for business since July 25, 1969. A daily fee is charged to anyone on the property. All proceeds are used to maintain and operate the park.
*Leashed pets are allowed.
*Shelters are on a first come basis, but may be reserved for all types of outings.
*Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.
*Perfect outing for Family Gatherings, Company Picnics and Church Outings.
