Lake Toxaway House

This 4 bedroom, 2 bath house nestled in the woods within private Toxaway Estates, provides a great family get-away. At an elevation of 3,100 feet, the crisp mountain air and mild summers provide a great escape from the heat of the South. The large kitchen, open living room, seperate dining area, and large, covered front porch provide plenty of room for the family. In the fall, you may want to warm up with your coffee at the kitchen fire place and use the wood burning stove in the living room, sure to heat the house.

Guests of this house have access to the private 650 acre lake, boat and ski rentals at the marina, and use of our two canoes. This lake is a fisherman's paradise. We catch giant large-mouth bass, wall-eye, blue-gill, and trout. Speaking of trout, there is also a children's pond stocked with trout within the estates. Transylvania County is called, "the land of waterfalls" and there are over 200 waterfalls to discover when you are taking a break from the hiking, horesback riding, golfing, snow skiing, fishing, and mountain biking.

There are great restaurants in the area including our favorites, The Brown Trout and Amore at Lake Toxaway, Osteria and Cornocopia in Cashiers, and if you want to visit the beautiful walking downtown area of Brevard, we love The Square Root and Hob Nob. The town of Highlands is a longer drive at about 35 mintues but worth the visit and Wolf Gangs restaurant is a must.
