Every family has a story. Every face has a moment you'll always want to remember. There's no better way to capture that moment or to tell your family story than with a photograph. When your memory fails you, a photograph will always remind you.

My name is Lakein Vanhoose and photography is my story. I'm an on-location photographer who came to discover this passion as nothing more than a new hobby. Quickly my hobby grew into a business and in return it has helped me grow as a person.
Growing up, I didn't think I had a "talent." I could do enough in art class to get by, but I was far from an artist and I had zero vocal capabilities.
I've always liked taking pictures. Even as a child I would sneak and get my Mothers camera and then bribe my younger brother to pose for me. I was always that person while on vacation if there was a random family posing for a picture, I'd volunteer to step in and take it for them so everyone was included.
As an adult, it wasn't until I received a good quality camera for Christmas that I was ready to put myself out there and see what I could do. Random objects were the main point of interest at first. I couldn't describe in words what it felt like to have a big camera strapped around my neck and be out and about shooting a variety of objects from nature to just plain ole junk that was lying around. But the reaction I got from capturing that "junk" is what drove me to be where I am today.
I love every aspect of this business. From arriving on site and shooting various categories of photography to getting behind the computer and editing the images to make them all my own, the way I envision them and put my mark on them. Hands down, the best part of this job is delivering those prints to a family and knowing I was part of them being able to tell their story.
