Rich in history dating back over a hundred years, the City of Lakeport lies on the shore of Clear Lake, one of the largest and oldest natural lakes in California and one of the premier bass fishing waters in the country.
Located two and a half hours north of San Francisco and two hours northwest of Sacramento, the area lays claim to the cleanest air quality in the state and is home to award winning vineyards and wineries not to mention an extinct volcano, Mt. Konocti. As the oldest incorporated community in the county, and the county seat, the city is also the regional center of commerce and government with a bustling daytime population of over 30,000.
