LakeRidge Baptist Church

The people of LakeRidge Baptist Church have two primary passions: Knowing God through His Word and serving God by loving His people. From these passions, several key priorities arise.

PASSION FOR GOD’S WORD
While many churches seem to be interested in making services exciting or entertaining, at LakeRidge we believe a consistent diet of biblical truth produces the greatest basis for excitement in a child of God. At LakeRidge we do use programs to facilitate spiritual growth. We have Sunday School classes for every age, Ladies’ Bible study groups, Women’s groups, Men’s groups, Vacation Bible School during the summer. Within all the programs, however, our primary focus is spiritual development. Our central hope concerns spiritual growth of the people, not just numerical growth of the program. We want people to acquire a greater knowledge of God’s Word so that they might grow (1 Peter 2:2) and so that they will be prepared for ministry (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

PASSION FOR GOD’S PEOPLE
Visitors to LakeRidge frequently comment on the friendliness of our people. When you come to LakeRidge, expect to be welcomed warmly. We have greeters at the main entrances who will invite you into the building and help you find the right location for a class or worship service. Do not be surprised, though, when you encounter the same type of friendliness throughout the building.

From the passion for people, LakeRidge consistently focuses on missions. Missionary speakers from around the world visit regularly to share their work and allow us to participate directly in their ministry. In February each year, we host a Missions Banquet, featuring times of fellowship, worship, and preaching from various missionaries. LakeRidge also sends people on missionary trips during the summer months.

LakeRidge places a priority on discipleship. Men's discipleship groups have worked through books such as Disciplines of a Godly Man, by R. Kent Hughes and The Measure of a Man, by Gene Getz. We also have discipleship groups using the DiscipleWay curriculum that works to produce disciples through a multiplication process. A ladies group meets one night a week and works through studies by Beth Moore.
