Sitting on top of Tryon Hill, The Lanier Library stands tall and helps the community by providing sources of literature for the community to enjoy. This Library was founded in 1890 and named after Sidney Lanier, a famed poet who spent his last months in Tryon. The Library offers its selection of literature to the public but requires a paid membership in order to check out and take home books. Please come visit us and ask about our volunteer programs and events organized at the library.
