In 1990, founders - Isidoro, Ramon and Jose Amaya. Three brothers born in a town named San Miguel, El Salvador C.A. Found an opportunity to open up a Salvadoran Restaurant with a unique Mexican style cuisine in Capitol Hill, Washington DC.

LAS PLACITAS - The Spanish name of A little plaza located at an active volcano named El Chaparrastique. It is located in their hometown San Miguel. Las Placitas Restaurant is still serving the best Salvadoran/Mexican Cuisine in the DC area.
