More about Last Chance Chapel

Lead Pastor

Pastor John Cathcart and his lovely wife Gloria Cathcart

John and Gloria Cathcart along with their children started Last Chance Chapel in 1996. Prior to this, they had been missionaries in Japan and Russia for thirteen years, starting churches in thirty small towns and cities.

Their vision for Last Chance Chapel is that the Lord would raise us up to be both a local and global witness of the Lord's great salvation promised to all.

It is their desire to see all believers dedicated to Christ and His Great Commission both at home and abroad. Their hope is that you come and allow the Lord to enlarge your heart and lives by stretching you to live your life to it's greatest potential.

Associate Pastor Nick Lancette

Born and raised in Helena, Montana, Nick’s youth included riding his bike to C.R. Anderson and playing football for the Capital Bruins. During his teen years, he placed his trust in Jesus Christ, later resulting in a choice he made to apprentice under ministers in Texas. There he developed a love for God’s Word and a desire to impact others.

The Institute in Basic Life Principles in Oak Brook, IL welcomed Nick Lancette on as staff in 1989 to assist home-schooling families and pastors across the country. Through that ministry, he led many seminars and traveled extensively, speaking at churches and counseling. It was while on staff, he met his wife, Kristine, from Georgia. Together (though apart), they ministered in several countries by request of government officials, including Russia, where Nick served for over two years as teacher and leader to teams of students.

In 1995, Nick pursued a long-distance courtship with Kristine Banker. Kristine, born in Michigan, accepted Jesus, when she was five. Her memories include living in a tent, an 8x8, and missionary adventures to Mexico, Great Britain, New Zealand, Taiwan, Germany, and Singapore. In her teen years, she worked as a dental assistant, an office manager, and eventually as staff for IBLP as a coordinator of home-schooling families, and assistant to Congressman Tommy Smith at the Atlanta Capitol.

On September 14, 1996, Nick and Kristine were married. Their desire was to pursue the Lord with a fervor and encourage others to do the same. In a relatively short period of time their family grew. They were blessed with six dear children: Nicholas David, Evangeline Hope, William Paul, Andrew Whitfield, Jonathan Edwards, and Benjamin Luke.

Today, Nick is the owner of Beds2Go, however his heart, as has always been, is for the church. It is his goal to be used God to ready his “bride” for his return. He counts it a great privilege and honor to be raised up by God for such a time and purpose as is presented before him as Pastor of Last Chance Chapel.

Kristine is his cheerleader in everything. It is her delight, foremost, to be available to the Lord first, then her husband, her kids, and from that have her cup overflow to others.

Nick and Kristine’s longing for Last Chance Chapel is that they may come to know and rely on the love God has for them, that their joy “would be made full”, and that, as a result, they would be fully furnished and prepared to spread that love throughout the world.
